A friend of mine has lovely hydrangeas.

I asked if I could cut some, to display as part of an art-thing I did a couple of weeks ago. She graciously agreed. These hydrangeas are not those ones (I left them there, I don't know where they went to when the booth was taken down) but some others, from the same bush, and a piece of the timber bamboo my husband dragged home one day from the side of the road.

color, texture, light - your photographs are almost tactile, even on the computer screen.

Thank you Pauline, that's a lovely thing to say. Sometimes the colours make me think of them as food, not as the colour of a food but the colour something you could eat, with your eyes like a mouth. I think it's a very odd way to think, and that used to bother me, but now I've just accepted it. I'ts much more comfortable and productive that way. (Sorry for the rambling. My little daughters are enjoying themselves playing in their room and it's some kind of rambunctious robo-kitten musical opera set at the roller derby, or the bowling alley, or something loud. I'm finding it hard to concentrate. So I'll do the wise thing and stop typing.)
